TRADE NEWS: Top marketing students honoured

The Chartered Institute of Marketing has awarded its tops students at this year's international graduation ceremony.
The event held at Birmingham's Symphony Hall, celebrated the achievements of students that have passed the institute's professional postgraduate diploma in marketing, professional diploma in marketing, and diploma in professional sales.
Graduates and guests were addressed by institute president Sir Paul Judge at the ceremony, where those who had scored the highest in their exams were recognised and announced as the top students in their particular modules.
The top students in their particular modules were Stacy Jones for the professional diploma, Anna White for professional postgraduate diploma student, Renita Shwili - professional postgraduate diploma student.
Top professional diploma students were announced as Melanie Proudfoot (marketing planning), Karleigh Davies (marketing research and information), Melanie Proudfoot (marketing communications) and Marie Shaw (marketing management in practice).
Top professional postgraduate diploma students were announced as Dermot Lynch (analysis and evaluation), Lauren McPeak (strategic marketing decisions),
Natalia Tomashevska (managing marketing performance) and Dominique Didinal (strategic marketing practice).
Commenting on the graduates achievements David Thorp, director of research and professional development at The Chartered Institute of Marketing said, "In these continuing challenging times, marketing is a key driver in business and all our graduates have shown that they recognise its importance to business strategy and success. It is clear that they are serious about marketing, their careers, and making a real positive difference to their organisations."
