EVENTS NEWS: NIS and NDMS benefit from a fresh approach to marketing

Published: 19-08-2005

Reed Exhibitions looks set to reap the rewards of a revamped marketing campaign for its National Direct Marketing Show (NDMS) and National lncentive Shows (NIS), which are co-located at the NEC on 13-15 September.

Pre-registration numbers have been boosted by 30 per cent and 17 per cent respectively by marketing innovations such as a new ticket for NIS and an increase in email marketing.

Innovations in terms of content have also driven interest in the shows, including a new seminar programme at NIS and two new zones focusing on particular product themes: The Office, Christmas and Fashion.

The NDMS seminar programme has been revamped, and includes presentations on topics including: intelligent use of data, permission marketing, copywriting and the future of mail services.

NIS remains the larger of the two shows, with 203 exhibitors, whilst NDMS boasts 23. The National Venue Show is located during the same period in the adjoining hall.
